Cut-to-Edge and border management

Landroid cut the borders

Border management on robotic mowers has always been a trouble. Landroid solved it in two slightly different way depending on models.

Cut-to-Edge function

On Landroid models WR140, WR140E, WR141E, WR142E, WR143E, WR147E, WR150, WR150E, WR153E, WR155E,  the Cut-to-Edge function has been implemented: it consists into a Off-centered Blade Turning Disc design to provide a clean cut with narrowest distance to the boundary or wall. It helps minimize the amount and frequency of manual trimming along the boundary.

Additionally, the Landroid is designed with a protective cover underneath that prevents objects from touching the turning blades and/or injury.

Anyway also on other models the border cut is managed as per below explanation but with the standard blade turning disc (no off- centered) one, providing a reduction of the borders trimming need.

How it works

Landroid is pre-programmed to mow the grass along the perimeter of your lawn twice a week. Monday and Friday or Tuesday and Friday depending on cutting time.

The border management will take place before the programmed mowing session and - if doing so - Landroid will be discharged too much it will come back to charging base. Once charge is completed Landroid will act as per setting mowing session.

Please consider that if you have islands the Cut-to-Edge will not mow their borders. Please refer to How to set up an island for more info.
